A LeWow Concert For Deborah

As many of you already know, last November veteran smooth jazz promotion exec Deborah Lewow was diagnosed with ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease). Her condition has progressed rather quickly and she is in need of a few things that money can buy.

Earl Klugh, Denise Waichunas, Jarid Neff and other of her close friends are planning a benefit concert -- The Lewow Evening of Jazz -- to raise money for her care; possibly a handicap van (if the concert sells out) and modifications to her home as they become necessary. The event is scheduled for Monday, April 26 at the Variety Playhouse in Atlanta. Klugh, Boney James, Mindi Abair, Joey Sommerville and other artists TBA will perform.

Deborah wants to share the proceeds from the gala with the ALS Foundation of Georgia and the Emory University ALS Center, where she is being treated. Dr. Jonathan Glass, head of Emory's ALS Clinic, where stem cell studies are underway, will address the audience at the event.

A trust account is being set up in her name for those who care to make donations. Details on that will follow here soon.
