A critic of BA from Day One, former WOTB/Providence PD Bill Gray PD chimed in: “Ask the artists who didn’t get airplay because of MixMaster. Ask the labels that lost sales because the majority of new artists were not being heard. When you look at the domination that BA had on the charts, I find it difficult to absolve BA of strangling the life out of a once innovative format. Let's talk about the jocks that were replaced by national personalities – albeit great communicators -- but they cost people jobs and they don’t live in your neighborhood."
